Dr. James McGaugh is research professor of neurobiology and behavior at the University of California, Irvine, and he was the founding Chair of the department and founding Director of the Center for the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory. Dr. McGaugh is a pioneering researcher on the field of memory consolidation and the role of emotion and neuromodulators in long-term memories.
