I completed MSc. in Neurobiology at Andrea Mele’s lab at the University of Rome Sapienza. For my thesis, I did a functional investigation of ventral subiculum and nucleus accumbens pathway in relation to spatial memory consolidation.

I joined The Nabavi lab. in 2018 as a research assistant and now as a PhD student in order to investigate  the brain’s circuitries for an innate versus learned defensive behaviors to threats. I am using a combination of chemogenetics, optogenetic and anatomical tracing techniques to functional manipulate the circuit.
